What better way to proudly represent your service to this country than a shiny medal adorning your uniform?

Medals are testaments of patriotic pride, a willingness to lay down the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we hold so dear. If you’ve had the privilege and honor of serving in the United States Marine Corps, you want to proudly display that service to the community. You’ve worked hard, formed strong, lifelong bonds with your fellow soldiers, and had world-class experiences while serving this great nation. Why not commemorate your years of service with a colorful selection of Marine medals? Displayed proudly on your uniform, these medals will proudly show your commitment to the service of your country.

When you are in the civilian world, you represent the heart of the military to the very people you serve to protect. A uniformed soldier stands out, whether he or she is attending a church service, visiting local schools, or spending times with loved ones in the hospital. A soldier should always look his or her best. Marine medals add prestige, respect and color to any uniform. They always stand out in the crowd.

You’ve worked hard to earn the honor of that uniform. Honor its dignity with a proud collection of military medals. Let people know how proud you are to serve. Let them see behold the dignity of America’s armed forces, fighting for their right to be free.

Ideally, medals should always be polished so they catch the right amount of gleam through natural light. It’s the shine that catches people’s eye, suggesting a high level of prestige and excellence. Your appearance represents everything about you. Keeping medals freshly polished shows a willingness to go the extra mile for your country and the mission. It exemplifies your attention to detail, your ceaseless drive for success. A shining medal displays your pride in being a Marine.

There’s nothing wrong in patriotic pride. It’s why we wear the uniform. We are representing the best of America, fighting to preserve everything this country stands for. Why not display your pride properly with the dignity of displayed medals? You’ve served. Let America know it with a proud display of military medals

Every five years or so, technology is invented that revolutionizes, for the better, patients’ attitudes about dentistry. While many consider it to be a practice of vanity, getting a cosmetic dental makeover has provided a countless number of patients with life-changing effects far more tangible than a root canal or a filling. Inasmuch as this area deals with appearance, it can said to be superficial; yet the way it has impacted so many lives for the better, and its potential to enhance even more lives, make it a valuable if not essential tool for dentists who aspire to improve lives by improving smiles.

The importance of a beautiful smile in the context of overall physical beauty cannot be overstated. Like all facial features, the mouth has the ability to express myriad emotions. But of all facial expressions, smiling invokes the greatest number of muscles, allowing for the greatest nuance of expression that can be enhanced with the thoughtful planning and implementation of smile-improving dental procedures. And whereas plastic surgery seeks to reconstruct the face in ways that often make expressions of emotion or personality seem unnatural, cosmetic procedures don’t change anything about your facial structure and simply enhance your teeth and mouth to make your smile more expressive of your personality and self-perception.

Dental professionals looking to rejuvenate their practices and passion for their careers alike benefit as much as their patients do when they learn the modern tools and techniques of a cosmetic dental makeover. With demand for cosmetic procedures surging and bound to perpetuate itself as happy patients spread the good word (and cheer), expertise in cosmetic dentistry provides the opportunity for many dentists to grow otherwise stagnant family practices. And with the creative imagination and implementation of solutions necessary to reform smiles, dentists will rediscover the true joys of dental work – joys that continue with the gratitude that practitioners of cosmetic dentistry receive from overjoyed patients whose smiles are brought into alignment with their self-image once and for all.

While many are quick to judge those who seek to improve the lives of others by improving their appearance as vain or superficial, they overlook the ways in which cosmetic improvements significantly improve patients’ lives, and seem to believe that it is a doctor’s place to tell patients what they should or should not value in life – good looks or otherwise. Few things are psychologically disconcerting as looking different than we feel. Feeling joy and not being able to express it in the conventional way – by smiling – is enough to keep anyone from ever wanting to smile again. Smile improvement makes it possible for patients to smile once again and to be proud when they do.

Because of the portability of most laptops, the process of laptop repair can sometimes involve shipping the malfunctioning laptop to a repair center at a remote location. In my experience, laptops are generally pretty solid pieces of hardware. I’ve had far fewer issues with my laptops over the years than with my desktops, but I’m sure there are many of you out there for whom the opposite is true. Years ago, laptops were generally viewed as a complementary piece of computing equipment. The laptop gave us the convenience to take our computer with us on business and to stay connected to the office from virtually anywhere.

Now, the laptop is the primary computing platform for many people in many lines of work. Just as the mobile phone is slowly eliminating the need to have a land line in our home, the laptop is gradually becoming the primary computing device for professionals in the United States and around the world. And I’m not just talking about the look-at-me-while-I-write coffee shop tools, but people who are actually working on a daily basis for companies that make money. With laptops playing such a key role in global commerce, the importance of laptop repair will only increase.

As noted previously, there are many options for shipping your laptop away for repair. Starting with the original manufacturer, there are many places that will allow you to mail your laptop in and have it returned to you repaired within a designated timeframe. There are also several storefront locations that exist in most areas that are able to take laptop drop-offs and make the necessary repairs onsite. Even this process presents a distinct convenience advantage over the process of trying to get a desktop computer repaired. Because of the size and weight associated with the desktop, shipping it away for service is generally not feasible and transporting it to a location for service is also a monumental hassle.

In contrast, laptop repair is usually fairly easy to facilitate and, as long as you have a back-up computing option at your disposal, the process shouldn’t present any significant inconvenience. A quick search online should return several legitimate options for servicing your laptop – and may offer a direct consulation that will allow you to make the necessary repair yourself. Not that I would recommend tinkering with the inside of a laptop, but I’m sure many of you out there wouldn’t hesitate to give it a shot.

Any coach or former athlete  understands the importance of strategy in winning. Good strategy in any sport can definitely compensate for conditioning that leaves something to be desired and a lack of natural talent. The cornerstone of any great strategy has to be knowing your own strengths and knowing your opponents strengths and weaknesses – in other words, knowing your opponent better than your own team. This may seem impossible, but it’s actually aided tremendously by the introduction of online video archives of high school games. Here in Colorado, football videos and their availability has made the game almost as much of a research project as it is a battle for which troops need to be trained. The advent of archives of high school sports online has made coaching in Colorado much more competitive than it is in some other states, where the technology has yet to change the way the game is played and coached. Being able to observe opponents throughout the season gives a coach tremendous insight into the opposing team’s weaknesses while also allowing him to build his own team’s strengths in order to exploit those weaknesses during future games. In some sense, Colorado football videos have turned sports into a real war. Yet how much each coach chooses to play “general” in the game of strategy varies depending on the individual. Some of the best teams don’t even use videos because their athletic talent and the dedication of their players is sufficient advantage over most opponents. Still, other players and coaches alike swear by learning from video because it gives them even basic insights that they wouldn’t have without it that prevent opponents from creating early leads. For instance, watching just one game played by an opposing team can offers a glimpse at the lineup’s best players. Does the running back need to be double-teamed? Is the quarterback susceptible to being sacked? The advent of internet-based archives puts this information just a click away from any player or coach. Players can now study their match-ups for weeks before they ever meet. This capability for research has definitely changed games from ad hoc skirmishes to meticulously-planned battles with all sorts of contingency plans. Whether this change is for the better or for the worse, however, remains to be seen.

For some reason or other people outside the Austin MMA community still ask the question which form of martial arts is better when it comes to an actual fight. Is it kung fu, karate, or maybe even taekwondo? Well I hate to break it to all you Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan fans but the answer to this question was answered a long time ago. It was answered in 1993 with the first Ultimate Fighting Championship, and the answer is Brazilian Jujitsu. The first UFC event was a bunch of guys who were experts in different types of martial arts including Jujitsu, karate, and other combat sports including boxing and even sumo wrestling.   By the end of this event it was clear which type of fighting style dominated the rest.

The winner of this competition was a 160 pound black belt in Brazilian Jujitsu whose family had founded that form of martial arts. He beat men who were much larger and stronger than he was. In fact he made it look easy.  Once he was able to take these stand up fighter down to the ground they looked like fish out water flopping around with no idea what to do. He was able to submit these men with ease making some of them tap out or give up before he even finished the submission.

So why some people still want to discuss this is beyond me. I don’t know if they are just stupid or that they just don’t know. Probably a little bit of both, but as far as which form of martial art is the best for actual real world fighting the answer is not up for discussion. A Black Belt in Jujitsu will completely dominate any other black belt in any other form of martial art. It is true that to be a true Austin MMA fighter you must have stand up fighting skill also but for the average street fight Jujitsu is the way to go.

Recent economic turmoil has affected cities less than rural areas. Cities like Chicago thus still show strong employment, relatively stronger home prices, and are still experiencing growth in some sectors despite the downturn in the economic overall. This means that, contrary to popular belief, Chicago advertising is as relevant today as it ever was, since there is still a strong market for goods and services offered by large, medium, and small businesses.

Many of this business owners we talk to are looking to find an affordable way to stay in the public eye during this tough period in order to better position their brand for an economic turnaround. While many of their competitors shell out large sums of money on online advertising that doesn’t translate into customer acquisition, smarter marketers have a tremendous opportunity to acquire customers with no expressed interest in a specific product or service – the only type of customer that online advertising can reach.

Gaining a competitive advantage over your customers in the Chicago area requires businesses to create a strong message that is seen by a large audience many times. Brand recognition, after all, is the consequence of effective mass marketing and is usually a deciding factor when people weigh which company they should buy goods or services from.

Billboard advertising offers the business looking to grow implement Chicago advertising the opportunity to reach a large number of employed and educated urbanites who are open to suggestion. A witty billboard or an advertisement of great pricing will resonate in the consciousness of passersby who will remember your business when it comes time to buy that widget.

The benefits of massage therapy are endless. Regular massage alleviates everything from pain to anxiety, has been found to beneficially reduce blood pressure and even enhance our attention span, increasing our ability to do math. As more and more people realize what a benefit regular massage brings to their every day lives, the practice of massage continues to grow in leaps and bounds. Getting started on a massage career is easy, although becoming a massage master takes a lifetime of knowledge.

How long does it take to go from reading this Internet post to living an exciting life as a massage therapist? Like everything in the world, the answer depends on the details. Do you want enough training to get yourself started in a massage career, or do you want to master the discipline? Because the practice of massage extends through all cultures and time frames, different massage techniques are as endless as infinity. No one can possibly know them all, but the more you know, the more beneficial your massage will be for your clients and their well-being.

In getting started, first consider the licensure requirements in the state and city where you will be practicing. 37 states in the US require some sort of training to practice massage, with varying levels of requirements. Legal minimums range from 330 hours to 1,000 hours, with programs taking anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of years, depending on the structure of the program. Any training received, however, improves your skill and the therapeutic potential for your clients. It’s best to learn a variety of techniques, disciplines and philosophical approaches.

Training never really ends, then, as we learn throughout our lives. Once you have the required licensed certification, however, you can begin to transform massage into a satisfying career. That can take anywhere from a few months to a few years. Most successful masseuses have developed their practice within two years, but it may take several years for your career to reach its full blossoming potential.

Like any career, you have to nurture and build your prospects. Strive for quality work with each client, as if each individual massage session was its own work of art. Maintain positive energy levels, and instill that energy in your clients. Build your reputation through word of mouth, and always engage a friendly and welcoming personality.

Any oak tree begins from a seed. A promising career in massage begins with certification and training. Start planting today.

Have you ever asked yourself… how come the same makeup looks different on my girlfriend than it looks on me? Well, besides the different complexion and color of the person wearing it, the key, believe it or not, is in the application.  How to put on makeup is key when you want to achieve a certain look.

Maybe the way she applies her makeup might be completely different than yours:  for example some people prefer to use the fingers to diffuse foundation, eye shadow, etc, while others prefer to use makeup brushes or sponges.
If you don’t think you are skilled enough there is always help out there, so don’t be shy to ask a professional makeup artist…They sure know all the tricks there is to know about makeup application: from what kind of brushes to use and for what purpose, to the best selections of shades and color that better compliment your complexion.  But don’t think you will have to hire a professional and pay hundreds of dollars for a private consultation, that will not be necessary if you just know where to look. Take advantage of trained people working the counters of any department store. For the most part they will be willing to help you and assist you with any questions you have.  Also think about an Ulta Makeup store near you, they have plenty of qualified people working the floor who also have knowledge about cosmetics.

I remember been there once picking up my first jar of mineral cosmetic, and trying to decide which color was right for me…well, thanks to Ulta help was on the way.

Artificial intelligence is becoming a reality and an increasingly important element in the development of robotics. In the dawning years of the 21st century, artificial intelligence has provided the heavy lifting for some of the most difficult problems in computer science. John McCarthy, who coined the term, defined artificial intelligence as “the science and engineering of making intelligent machines.” Is human created machine intelligence possible? While in the word “intelligence” in the world of industrial robots is a relative term, the ability for machines to make the correct decisions based on computerized programming is becoming a reality, transforming the field of robot industrial and revolutionizing the industry.

Algorithms are being designed and developed to enable computers to “learn.” Through inductive learning, machines can extract rules, patterns and conclusions out of massively complicated data sets at a level superior to human capabilities. It’s becoming increasingly essential in the science of robot industrial control, offering robotics the necessary inspection capabilities to ensure quality on the production line.

“Intelligence” in robotics is achieved through a search of all possible solutions, as reasoning is literally reduced to a computerized search. Robotic algorithms enable moving limbs and grasping objects to use localized searches in realizing configuration space, increasing the adaptability of a limb to the suitability of the job as it “learns” how to operate in a variety of spaces.

Artificial intelligence can also be employed in robotics to instill machine vision, enabling computers to engage digital photography and other imaging processing software to perform quality checks on the product. This enables machines to conduct visual inspections at a high-speed, automatic 24-hour duration with a standardized repeatability of measurements. Traditionally, humans employed in this realm suffer a high degree of failure due to natural distraction, sickness and other debilitating factors. Computers offer calculated quality that’s as reliable as the mathematical properties on which they are based.

As decision-making capabilities based on data become more computerized, robotics becomes all the more viable in the manufacturing process. Through the science of robot industrial technology, we are building a world of tomorrow, creating sustainable manufacturing processes that reliably produce quality at an affordable, quantified cost.

Go Bowling

There’s nothing like a night on the lane, bowling against your friends, hoping against hope that the last pin will fall over and give you that perfect strike. The shattering of the pins, the fantastic rush as the ball returns, ready for another delivery. Bowling is more than a game. It’s life.

To the aficionados of the sport, bowling is intense. The bright shine on the lanes, the steady rolling of ball after ball knocking the pins away, the clatter of a strike when they all go down. It’s easy to see why bowling is one of America’s favorite pastimes.

Like all sports, there are all levels of curiosity. Some are only occasional partakers, going bowling every once in a while, content with alley shoes and alley balls. Other bowlers are life time enthusiasts, buying their own bowling balls, bringing their own shoes to the lane. For these bowlers, a stranger’s ball just won’t do. They want their own, customized to their personal bowling style and individual finger characteristics.

A beginner bowler might not understand why you really need your own ball. To them, bowling might not be a recognized sport or real form of entertainment. But to enthusiasts, bowling is life. It’s a cheap way to unwind after work, catch a few lanes with some friends, compete against not only your buddies but also yourself. It’s like facing yourself in the mirror every night and making sure you are looking good.

For many, bowling is a lifestyle. It defines who they are. Bowling is a convenient, easy and social recreation, perfect for an evening with the guys or a fun event for families. Some enjoy having their own one of a kind equipment, customized to their preferences. It improves their game as well as their satisfaction.

Because if anything, bowling should be comforting or it’s just no fun. This is your game. Let it define who you are. Customize your equipment to fit you, only you, because bowling is as individual a sport as you can get. Nobody’s hands are like yours. Nobody bowls like you do. Why use somebody else’s bowling balls?
